Job Description
Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized File Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining our filing systems, ensuring that all documents are accurately scanned, filed, and easily accessible, as well as reviewing court documents and updating file statuses. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This is a part-time position that will grow into a full-time position when current employees go out on temporary leave and return to university, estimating at 20-25 hours a week for approximately one to two months before increasing to full-time hours. Responsibilities Organize and maintain physical and electronic filing systems for easy retrieval of documents. Perform data entry tasks with a high level of accuracy using various computer software. Review file status and prepare updates to attorneys and other team members. Update files with documents and current statuses. Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper documentation flow and compliance with organizational policies. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information while adhering to company protocols. Experience Proven experience in an administrative or office management role is preferred. Strong computer literacy skills. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively. Attention to detail. Previous experience in a filing or clerical position is a plus but not required.
