Job Description
Description We are looking for a detail-oriented File Clerk to join our team in Carmel, Indiana. In this long-term contract position, you will play a crucial role in organizing, maintaining, and digitizing important records for our health insurance operations. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working with files and contributing to a well-structured office environment.
Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain physical files, ensuring records are accurately categorized and easy to retrieve.
- Prepare file boxes for storage, labeling them appropriately for future reference.
- Scan paper documents and convert them into digital formats for electronic filing systems.
- Ensure all scanned documents are properly indexed and stored in the company's e-filing system.
- Assist in archiving outdated records while adhering to organizational policies.
- Perform regular audits of filing systems to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborate with team members to streamline filing processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of sensitive information in compliance with company standards.
- Provide support for special projects involving document management.
- Keep workspace organized and ensure filing supplies are adequately stocked. Requirements
- Previous experience in filing, document management, or administrative roles.
- Proficiency in handling physical files and file boxes with attention to detail.
- Familiarity with scanning equipment and document digitization processes.
- Ability to use electronic filing systems effectively.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and security of sensitive documents.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with team members.
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with standard office software.
