Job Description
The General Office Clerk/Phone Interviewer is primary responsible for entering and verifying data furnished from a variety of sources, including paper-based, electronic and phone into a computer database. Responsible for answering, screening and directing telephone calls. Responsible for verifying information furnished by the applicants with employers, landlords or property owners, governmental agencies or other appropriate sources. Applicant must display a helpful demeanor, detail orientation, good communication skills, getting along with others, assertiveness, teamwork and initiative. Must be able to communicate clearly. Ability to work in a fast paced constantly changing environment is an essential function.
Qualification:
High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 1-2 years experience in an Internet/customer support related environment. Computer Literate. Excellent written & verbal communication skills. Ability to- Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
- Comprehend and make inferences from written material.
- Enter data into a PC.
- Pay attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
- Remain in a sitting position for extended periods of time.
- Handle large number of outbound/inbound calls
- Retrieve and utilize computer generated client data.
- Use and maintain confidential and sensitive information.
- Address simple questions/requests from customers
- Work independently in a fast paced environment.
- Produce high quality, with a low error rate.
- Be a team player.
- Learn quickly and adapt to changes easily.
- Document information on company data base/forms.
- Review credit history for mortgage information
- Conduct verification via telephone, fax, email, third party websites to verify facts
- Research addresses to verify ownership or residential history Work hours
- Work hours are typically 8 AM
- 5 PM M-F Depending on management needs Language requirements
- Must have day to day command of spoken and written English
- Spanish and/or French language is beneficial for this position Applicant Information is a relaxed, business casual work environment.
