The Intake Specialist will follow up with MDT partner agencies on notifications that meet the Children's Advocacy Center's established working protocols and assist in facilitating the coordination of joint investigations. This is an entry-level position that does not provide direct services to children or families. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Assist the Intake Coordinator with tracking DFPS Statewide Intake notifications of child abuse and neglect. Monitor notifications and identify cases that meet the CAC's established working protocols. Follow up with MDT partner agencies regarding applicable notifications. Assist with coordinating communication between MDT partner agencies to facilitate joint investigations. Maintain accurate and timely records related to intake notifications and follow-up activities. Complete data entry and ensure information is entered accurately and timely into applicable systems. Assist with organizing and maintaining intake-related documentation. Communicate professionally with representatives from DFPS, law enforcement, prosecutors' offices, and other MDT partner agencies. Follow established CAC policies, procedures, confidentiality requirements, and protocols. Assist with records. Assist with other intake-related duties as assigned. Travel to satellite locations within Hidalgo and Starr Counties as needed. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Rehabilitation Services, Criminal Justice, or a related field preferred. Entry-level position; prior experience in child advocacy or intake is helpful but not required. Prior work experience with Child Protective Services, law enforcement, or a District Attorney's Office is preferred. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet strict deadlines. Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality. Flexible and able to work effectively in a multidisciplinary environment. Positive attitude and high professional standards and ethics. Ability to work effectively with individuals from various professional disciplines. Proficiency with Microsoft Windows 10, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Strong data-entry skills and attention to detail. Willingness and ability to travel to satellite locations in Hidalgo and Starr Counties. Additional Requirements Employment is contingent upon successful completion of required criminal and DFPS background checks. Must maintain confidentiality regarding all case information and agency records. Must comply with all applicable CAC, DFPS, and MDT policies and procedures. Physical and Work Requirements Ability to work in an office environment and perform routine computer and data-entry tasks. Ability to communicate effectively by telephone, email, virtual meetings, and in person. Ability to travel to CACHSC satellite locations in Hidalgo and Starr Counties as needed.
