Up to $110,000 DOE Direct Hire A well-established law firm in Carlsbad is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to support a busy civil litigation practice. This role is ideal for a highly organized professional with strong knowledge of litigation procedures, court filings, calendaring, and deadline management. The successful candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and provide comprehensive support to multiple attorneys. Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and litigation support to attorneys throughout all phases of civil litigation. Manage court calendars and track litigation deadlines, hearings, depositions, and trial dates. Prepare, revise, proofread, and format legal documents, including: Pleadings Motions Discovery requests and responses Correspondence Trial documents Coordinate and file documents in state and federal courts, ensuring compliance with court rules and filing requirements. Schedule depositions, hearings, mediations, client meetings, and other case-related events. Maintain and organize electronic and physical case files. Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, opposing counsel, and vendors. Assist attorneys with document production, trial preparation, and other litigation-related tasks. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years of litigation legal secretary experience required. Strong working knowledge of California civil litigation procedures, court rules, and filing requirements. Experience managing litigation calendars and critical deadlines. Proficiency with e-filing systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and legal document management software. Excellent proofreading, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
