Fresno, CA Job Details Full-time $55,000 - $75,000 a year 19 hours ago Qualifications Customer communication Civil litigation support Commercial litigation support Appointment scheduling Full Job Description McCormick Barstow LLP has an opening for a litigation secretary to work in the Litigation group in our Fresno office. Qualified candidates must be detail-oriented, have strong organizational skills, the ability to multi-task, manage deadlines and heavy calendaring. Should be able to prioritize and follow through on assignments with minimal supervision. Responsibilities will include administrative office duties as well as calendaring, filing and serving of pleadings and discovery, scheduling depositions, preparation of client/attorney correspondence, preparation of pleadings, motions and discovery.
Preferred work experience would include:
Minimum of 2+ years of previous civil litigation legal secretary work; family law experience preferred but not required. Ability to type 65+ wpm and proficiency in the English language; Ability to effectively communicate in both oral and written form, i.e. sending emails and preparing correspondences to client, attorneys, and experts; Ability to communicate effectively with clients, address immediate concerns and manage expectations; Excellent word processing skills utilizing Microsoft Word, Outlook, PDF programs, iManage/other document management system, CompuLaw or other calendaring program; Experience with e-filing and serving with state and federal courts, trial preparation; Proficient knowledge of legal terminology and legal documents, including discovery, court pleadings, court forms, and court filing deadlines.
Pay:
$55,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
