Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary with a strong background in bankruptcy law for a full-time opportunity in Fresno, CA. This role is ideal for a highly organized legal professional who understands bankruptcy filings, court procedures, case deadlines, and the importance of accurate, confidential client support. The Legal Secretary will work closely with attorneys to support case management, document preparation, court filings, client communication, and daily legal office operations. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, draft, organize, and file bankruptcy petitions, schedules, motions, and related legal documents.
- Maintain bankruptcy case files, attorney calendars, hearing dates, deadlines, and court requirements.
- Communicate professionally with clients, courts, trustees, attorneys, and internal team members.
- Assist attorneys with hearing preparation, motions, trial preparation, and case follow-up.
- Manage confidential client and legal information with accuracy, discretion, and professionalism.
- Support billing, correspondence, document management, and general legal office administration. Compensation and Benefits

- Bankruptcy law experience is required or strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of bankruptcy procedures, court filings, deadlines, and legal documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- High level of accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Preferred Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Prior experience in a law office specializing in bankruptcy is strongly desired.
- Experience supporting attorneys in a fast-paced legal services environment.
- Familiarity with electronic court filing systems and bankruptcy case management tools.
