Riverside, CA Job Details $19 - $21 an hour 7 hours ago Qualifications Administrative experience High school diploma or GED Legal administrative experience Law office experience Full Job Description We're seeking a sharp legal assistant/file clerk for our busy law firm who can help our attorneys and paralegals assist clients and keep the office running smoothly. You'll work with the team to prepare a variety of legal documents and handle office correspondence, such as answering emails and phone calls, scheduling meetings and travel, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines. Compensation:
$19 - $21 hourly
Responsibilities:
Schedule meetings and appointments for the team, such as depositions, make travel arrangements, and coordinate with outside vendors for events Undertake other duties as needed to ensure the firm operates efficiently Help with creating a variety of litigation documents, including pleadings, motions, subpoenas, affidavits, contracts, and briefs for case preparation, and proofread documents when necessary Complete legal research as needed under the supervision of attorneys and paralegals Use daily time records to properly process client billing with support from the accounting department Manage office correspondence and administrative tasks such as answering phone calls, communicating with opposing attorney offices, taking dictation, responding to emails, and reminding the team of upcoming deadlines Maintain physical and digital client files up to date and prepped for court hearings
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent is required; associate's degree is a plus Comfortable working with all Microsoft Office products Organizational skills and communication skills are necessary for this position Some knowledge of legal software, case management, and docketing programs Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a law firm or office environment as an administrative assistant or secretary Must be able to prioritize tasks with demanding deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment About Company We are an established and reputable Family Law Firm with several offices across California.
