Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Litigation Secretary to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills and a solid understanding of legal procedures, particularly in areas such as family law, estate planning, and tribal law regulations. This role involves supporting attorneys with various administrative tasks, managing case files, and ensuring that all documentation is accurate and up-to-date. Responsibilities Draft, proofread, and edit legal documents including pleadings, motions, and correspondence. Conduct legal research utilizing Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation. Coordinate schedules, appointments, and meetings for attorneys. Assist in project management tasks to ensure timely completion of litigation deadlines. Communicate effectively with clients, witnesses, and court personnel as needed. Prepare trial binders and assist with trial preparation activities. Stay informed about changes in laws relevant to family law and estate planning. Experience Proven experience as a Litigation Secretary or in a similar legal administrative role. Familiarity with legal case management software and tools such as Clio is preferred. Strong knowledge of legal terminology and procedures related to litigation, personal injury and insurance defense Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft clear and concise legal documents. Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team environment.
