We are seeking a Litigation Assistant to support attorneys in trial-level civil litigation and appeals. This position focuses on high-level administrative support and requires familiarity with Florida state and federal courts, their respective rules, and state agencies. Primary Duties Calendar management; monitor and track administrative, trial, and appellate deadlines, court dates and filing requirements; assist with scheduling and case management. Prepare, transcribe, proofread, format, and electronically file pleadings, briefs, correspondence, routine filings, and other legal documents in state agency proceedings, state courts, and federal courts. Maintain and organize both physical and electronic case files. Provide excellent client service by answering phone calls and greeting clients and visitors; communicate professionally with clients, courts, agencies, opposing counsel, vendors, and other contacts both verbally and in writing. Support attorney productivity and client billing guidelines using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, and other applications. Preferred Qualifications Previous law firm or legal-environment experience is preferred, but not required; litigation, administrative law, and appellate experience is a plus. Strong proficiency in grammar, proofreading, formatting, organizational, communication, and document-management skills; excellent attention to detail and judgment. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented law firm environment, with regular and reliable in-office attendance required. Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Adobe Acrobat.
Compensation, Benefits, and Schedule Compensation:
We offer a competitive compensation and benefits package commensurate with experience. The expected salary range is approximately $45K - $55K; depending on qualifications and prior experience.
