Job Overview We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our dynamic legal team. Responsibilities Manage and organize legal documents, case files, and correspondence using document management systems such as iManage and PCLaw. Draft, review, and proofread legal documents including contracts, pleadings, briefs, and correspondence with accuracy and attention to detail. Conduct legal research utilizing Westlaw, LexisNexis, and other research tools to support case preparation across diverse practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, family law, securities law, and more. Assist attorneys with client communication by scheduling appointments, preparing interview questions, and maintaining professional phone etiquette. Support litigation processes by preparing pleadings, managing document review workflows, and organizing civil litigation files. Handle confidential information with discretion while maintaining compliance with procedural law requirements. Coordinate meetings, court filings, deadlines, and follow-up tasks to ensure timely case progression. Provide executive administrative support including data entry, filing, transcription, proofreading, and managing email correspondence. Support project management initiatives by tracking case progress and assisting in procedural compliance across multiple practice areas. Experience Proven paralegal or legal secretary experience supporting attorneys in a fast-paced law office environment. Strong knowledge of procedural law and familiarity with a variety of practice areas such as estate planning, tribal law & regulations, personal injury law, workers' compensation law, landlord-tenant law, family law, patent law, securities law, environmental law, civil litigation support, and general & commercial litigation. Demonstrated proficiency in legal research tools including Westlaw and LexisNexis; experience with legal case management software is preferred. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Skilled in Word processing applications such as Microsoft Office Suite; experience with document review platforms like iManage is advantageous. Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and collaboration within the team. Ability to handle confidential information responsibly while adhering to professional standards of privacy. Experience in legal drafting, proofreading, transcription services, and document management systems is highly valued.
