Job Description

Overview Marcus & Hoffman, P.C. is a Delaware County law firm located in Media and well established in the practices of community association law, construction litigation and real estate. Through over 25 years of practice the mid-size law firm has grown to currently representing over 300 community associations and corporate clients. We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to fill the position of a long-time employee who is retiring. About the Position The firm is seeking a highly experienced legal secretary to support the transactional and corporate real estate practice area. Supporting 2 - 4 attorneys, this role involves researching documents from court and county agencies, transcription, drafting and editing professional communications to clients, opposing counsel and colleagues and relied upon to manage attorney calendars, schedule meetings, both virtual and in person, and assist attorneys with projects and tasks. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, anticipates needs before they arise, follows through, and takes initiative to assist other staff as needed.
Experience Requirements:
  • 5 - 10+ years supporting transactional practice and/or corporate real estate
  • State and County filings
  • Busy workload supporting multiple attorneys
  • Strong document management and organizational skills
  • Attorney time entries in billing software application, Timeslips experience is a plus
  • High level of attention to detail and excellent organizational and grammar skills
  • Advanced skill level of
Microsoft Word and Excel Responsibilities:
  • Prepare professional written communications, including Fee Agreement letters
  • Transcription of attorney dictation communications
  • Open new client files; maintain accurate client contact information in the firm's directory, coordinate with Office Manger to set up billing accounts
  • Schedule and manage attorney meetings
  • Maintain and keep organized required physical and digital document files
  • Prepare materials for marketing events attended by attorneys
  • Flexibility as needed on an occasional basis for early meetings or after-hours deadlines
  • PA Notary is a plus The firm offers:

$65,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
