Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Lead Lawyer to join our legal team, guiding complex legal matters across multiple practice areas with confidence and strategic insight. As a Lead Lawyer, you will serve as a key legal advisor, overseeing litigation, providing expert counsel on a wide array of legal issues, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping our legal strategies, managing high-stakes cases, and fostering a culture of integrity and excellence within the organization. This role offers an exciting opportunity to influence critical legal decisions while working in a collaborative and innovative environment. Responsibilities Lead and manage diverse litigation cases including general & commercial litigation, personal injury law, employment law, and statutory legal research. Provide expert legal counsel on complex issues such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, and procedural law knowledge. Oversee all aspects of case management from initial research and legal drafting to trial preparation and court depositions. Draft comprehensive contracts, legal motions, pleadings, and other documentation with precision and clarity. Conduct thorough legal research using tools like LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies and ensure compliance with statutory requirements. Negotiate settlements and advocate effectively for clients in courtrooms or during alternative dispute resolution processes. Supervise junior attorneys and support staff to ensure high-quality work product and adherence to deadlines. Maintain strong client communication by providing clear updates on case progress and legal advice tailored to client needs. Ensure all legal activities comply with organizational policies, ethical standards, and regulatory requirements while managing legal case management systems efficiently. Experience Proven experience as a Lead Lawyer or senior attorney with extensive practice in general & commercial litigation. Demonstrated expertise across multiple practice areas including estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, family law, securities law, workers' compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, personal injury case experience, employment law case experience, and procedural law knowledge. Strong background in legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms. Extensive experience in court depositions, trial preparation, contract drafting, legal motion preparation, and litigation advocacy. Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful settlement negotiations. Prior experience managing a busy law office environment with multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining meticulous attention to detail. Exceptional writing skills for drafting legal documents that are clear, persuasive, and compliant with procedural standards. Ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively to clients and internal teams alike.
