Medical Insurance Billing Specialist North Star Sleep Solutions - Mesa, AZ Part-Time | In-Person | Flexible Schedule North Star Sleep Solutions is looking for an experienced Medical Insurance Billing Specialist to join our growing team. This position begins as a part-time role (approximately one day per week) and offers the opportunity to increase hours as our practice continues to expand. We're looking for someone who enjoys solving billing challenges, takes ownership of their work, and can manage claims from submission through resolution with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities include:

Submit medical insurance claims accurately and promptly Track outstanding claims and follow up on denials or unpaid balances Obtain and monitor prior authorizations when needed Communicate professionally with insurance companies, patients, and providers Maintain organized, accurate billing documentation Identify billing issues and recommend solutions to improve efficiency

What We're Looking For:

At least 2 years of medical insurance billing experience Experience working in a physician or medical office Familiarity with Medicare, AHCCCS (Arizona Medicaid), and commercial insurance plans is preferred Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and follow-through Dependable, self-directed, and able to work independently Experience with any of the following is a plus, but not required: Sleep medicine Durable Medical Equipment (DME) billing Dental sleep medicine Compensation $20.00-$25.00 per hour, depending on experience Flexible scheduling Opportunity for additional hours as the practice grows North Star Sleep Solutions helps patients with obstructive sleep apnea and snoring using oral appliance therapy prescribed in collaboration with physicians.
