Valley Arthritis Care is seeking an experienced, detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team. We are looking for someone who is hardworking, dependable, organized, and brings a positive attitude to work each day. The ideal candidate will have prior medical billing experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy healthcare environment. This role is an important part of our revenue cycle team and helps ensure claims are submitted accurately, payments are posted correctly, and billing issues are followed up on in a timely manner. Responsibilities Submit medical claims accurately and timely Review and follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims Work aging reports and assist with collections follow-up Post payments, adjustments, and patient balances as needed Verify insurance information and assist with billing-related questions Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status, denials, and authorizations Maintain accurate billing documentation and notes Assist with patient billing inquiries in a professional and courteous manner Work closely with the billing team, front office, clinical staff, and management Follow all HIPAA and compliance requirements Qualifications Prior medical billing experience required Experience with insurance claims, denials, payment posting, and/or A/R follow-up preferred Rheumatology or specialty practice billing experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Positive attitude and strong work ethic Professional communication skills Comfortable using EHR/practice management systems Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, insurance guidelines, and billing workflows preferred Ideal Candidate We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, stays focused, and is committed to doing things correctly.
