Job Description

Medical Biller, Temporary | $25 - $28/hr | Mon-Fri, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM Ultimate Staffing is seeking an experienced Medical Biller to support the closure of a medical practice in Laguna Hills, CA. This is a temporary assignment, ideal for someone with a strong background in healthcare administration who can bring professionalism, organization, and empathy for a seamless transition process.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00
PM Location:
Laguna Hills, CA (Onsite) Key Responsibilities Process and submit medical claims to insurance carriers, including Workers' Compensation payers Review, verify, and follow up on claim status to ensure timely reimbursement Manage accounts receivable and resolve denied, rejected, or underpaid claims Communicate with insurance adjusters, case managers, attorneys, and medical providers regarding claim issues Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and authorization requirements Accurately post payments, adjustments, and account updates in the billing system Maintain detailed documentation of billing activities and claim resolutions Monitor aging reports and conduct collections follow-up as needed Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and payer-specific billing requirements Assist with administrative and office support duties as needed Qualifications Minimum 2+ years of medical billing experience required Previous experience handling Workers' Compensation claims and insurance billing strongly preferred Knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding practices Strong understanding of insurance verification, claims submission, denial management, and accounts receivable follow-up Excellent communication and customer service skills Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment Reliable attendance and ability to commit to the duration of the assignment Ultimate Staffing offers benefits including health care coverage, 401K, holiday pay and the opportunity to grow into permanent positions with oustanding companies. to become a part of our dedicated team of professionals and grow within your career!
