Hourly Pay:

Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30

PM Contract:

12 weeks

Position Type:

100% onsite We are seeking an experienced healthcare billing professional with strong Medi-Cal billing and collections experience supporting professional or physician services. Responsibilities Manage Medi-Cal billing and collections activities for professional/physician services. Apply Medi-Cal guidelines, policies, and reimbursement requirements. Work with CIF processes and Medi-Cal appeals. Review accounts, identify issues, and complete assigned responsibilities accurately and timely. Analyze billing trends, identify root-cause opportunities, and recommend process improvements. Communicate relevant information to leadership, stakeholders, and functional teams. Collaborate with team members in person, by email, and through Zoom. Utilize Excel and Word to document, track, and report information. Apply knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes, medical terminology, and healthcare billing practices. Requirements 3-5 years of Medi-Cal billing and collections experience for professional or physician services. Strong knowledge of Medi-Cal guidelines. Experience working with CIF and Medi-Cal appeals. Intermediate knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 codes, coding, and medical terminology. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Epic experience is a plus. Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and complete assigned responsibilities.
