This position will assist with increased patient volumes and staffing needs while supporting the authorization and utilization management process.

Onsite, 8-5, Mon-Friday Responsibilities Review authorization requests and perform utilization management activities , including precertifications, admission reviews, and retrospective authorizations. Use established medical criteria to evaluate authorization requests. Evaluate the medical necessity of inpatient hospital admissions . Authorize inpatient admissions and determine the estimated length of stay . Support providers in working to increase the efficient utilization of services . Assist with front desk operations and treatment authorizations as needed. Maintain accurate documentation and follow established policies and procedures. Qualifications 1-3 years of relevant healthcare or authorization experience . Experience with medical authorizations, precertifications, utilization management, or medical necessity reviews preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Ability to review medical information and apply established criteria. Strong communication and customer service skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment .

Pay:

$20.00 - $22.75 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
