Duties Follow up on unpaid or partially paid medical claims by contacting insurance companies, patients, and third-party payers to secure outstanding payments Review and analyze medical records, billing information, and insurance explanations of benefits (EOBs) to identify discrepancies or issues impacting collections Utilize billing software, EMR (Electronic Medical Records), and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems to track account status and update patient information accurately Apply knowledge of

ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT

coding, DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), and medical terminology to ensure proper claim submission and resolution Communicate professionally with patients regarding their accounts, explaining billing details and resolving any concerns or disputes effectively Maintain detailed documentation of collection efforts, correspondence, and account adjustments in compliance with healthcare regulations Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance representatives to resolve complex billing issues promptly Requirements Prior experience in medical billing, collections, or healthcare claims management is highly preferred Strong understanding of medical coding including

ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
