Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in long-term care (LTC) billing and be proficient in PointClickCare (PCC). This role is responsible for managing Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial insurance billing, ensuring timely claim submission, payment posting, denial resolution, and accounts receivable follow-up. Responsibilities Process and submit Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial insurance claims accurately and timely. Utilize PointClickCare (PCC) daily for billing, account management, and documentation. Review claims for accuracy prior to submission. Follow up on unpaid, denied, or rejected claims and complete appeals as needed. Post insurance payments, adjustments, and patient payments. Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate billing records. Verify insurance eligibility and benefits when necessary. Communicate with insurance companies regarding claim status and payment issues. Maintain compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, HIPAA, and payer regulations. Work closely with facility staff to resolve billing discrepancies and ensure complete documentation. Qualifications Minimum of 2 years of medical billing experience using PointClickCare (PCC) is required. Minimum of 2 years of long-term care (LTC) Medicare and insurance billing experience is required. Strong knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and commercial insurance billing processes. Experience with claim submission, payment posting, accounts receivable, denials, and appeals. Knowledge of EOBs, remittance advice, and insurance reimbursement guidelines. Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Preferred Qualifications Experience in skilled nursing or long-term care facilities. Knowledge of revenue cycle management best practices. Medical billing certification is a plus.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
