We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Medical Biller / Medical Billing Specialist to join our administrative team at a busy pediatric therapy clinic. This role is responsible for managing the full medical billing and claims process, including insurance claim submission, payment posting, denial management, and accounts receivable follow-up. This role supports and manages the credentialing of providers. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of medical billing procedures, insurance guidelines, credentialling, CPT and ICD-10 coding , and revenue cycle management. This position plays a key role in ensuring accurate, timely reimbursement while supporting providers and families. Key Responsibilities Prepare, review, and submit medical insurance claims using billing software Monitor and post EOBs and ERAs from insurance companies Follow up on unpaid, rejected, or denied claims within standard billing timelines Research, correct, and appeal denied claims to maximize reimbursement Verify patient eligibility and insurance benefits for rejected or denied claims Review patient accounts for accuracy and completeness; obtain missing documentation Contact insurance carriers to resolve payment discrepancies and claim issues Track accounts receivable and report delinquent accounts (90+ days) Maintain accounts receivable over 90 days at less than 15% of total A/R Update billing spreadsheets, no-show tracking, and collections-related reports Maintain accurate and organized billing records Collaborate with administrative and clinical staff to improve billing workflows Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in medical billing, medical coding, or healthcare revenue cycle management (ie. Dental office, doctor office, hospital setting, etc). If you do not have this, please do not apply. Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial insurance payer guidelines Familiarity with CPT, ICD-10, and medical terminology Experience using medical billing software and electronic health records (EHR) Proficiency with programs like Google Drive, Excel, and other computer systems Strong verbal and written communication skills for interacting with insurance companies Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently Strong attention to detail and analytical skills Preferred Qualifications Some College, ie.
