Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Office Insurance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our front office. As one of our Dental Insurance Coordinators, you will act as the vital bridge between our patients, the clinical team, and insurance providers. Your primary mission is to ensure smooth revenue workflows by accurately verifying benefits, submitting clean claims, tracking outstanding accounts, and helping patients clearly understand their out-of-pocket costs.
Schedule:
Monday 9:30- 6, Wednesday 8:30
- 5:00 and Thursdays 8:30
- 4:30. There is also a possiblity to add Tuesdays if workload requires. (End time is roughly +
- 30 minutes from end time)
Responsibilities Insurance Verification:
Proactively verify patient eligibility, breakdowns of benefits, and history before scheduled appointments.
Claims Management:
Prepare, document, and submit dental insurance claims accurately and timely.
Accounts Receivable & Follow-Up:
Monitor and manage the insurance aging report, aggressively following up on delayed or denied claims.
Patient Advocacy:
Break down complex dental insurance jargon into simple terms to help patients understand treatment plans and payment agreements.
Payment Posting:
Accurately post insurance and patient payments to accounts.
Front Desk Support:
Assist with answering phones, greeting patients, and maintaining accurate digital patient records when needed Requirements Experience working directly with PPO dental insurance plans, billing, or collections.
Software:
Proficiency with dental practice management software (We currently use Fuse and Weave). Strong understanding of dental terminology, ADA coding (CDT codes), and insurance claim criteria. Exceptional phone etiquette and comfortable talking about finances with patients in a compassionate, professional manner.
Detail-Oriented:
A sharp eye for numbers and documentation to reduce claim rejections.
