We are interested in hiring someone who is certified in billing. Must have experience in credentialing. This is for in-person support at our Davison office. In this vital role, you will be the cornerstone of our billing operations and credentialing processes, ensuring seamless reimbursement and compliance for mental health services. Your expertise will help optimize revenue cycles, maintain accurate medical records, and uphold the highest standards of healthcare claims management. Duties Prepare and submit accurate medical claims using billing software, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and coding standards such as CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, and DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group) coding. Review and verify medical records to ensure proper documentation aligns with billing requirements. Manage medical collections by following up on unpaid or denied claims to maximize reimbursement. Explain payment options including Care Credit and sliding fee scale. Maintain up-to-date credentials for mental health providers by coordinating credentialing and re-credentialing processes with insurance companies and licensing boards. Utilize EHR (Electronic Health Records) system to accurately document patient information, billing data, and insurance details. Monitor healthcare claims management workflows to identify discrepancies or errors promptly. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing provider inquiries related to billing, insurance claims, or credentialing status efficiently and professionally. Assist with scheduling new clients, greeting current clients and collecting copays when our Intake Coordinators are not working. Assist administration with audits, data collection, manage sliding fee scales. Oversee prior-authorization process and request authrization from insurance when needed. Qualifications Proven experience in medical billing, preferably within mental health or behavioral health settings. Strong knowledge of healthcare claims management processes, including familiarity with mental health coding. Proficiency in Excel, familiar with Google Drive and experience using billing software, EHR systems. Understanding of health insurance policies, medical records management, and credentialing procedures. Familiar with
CAQH, NPI
registry, PECOS and CHAMPS. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze complex data accurately. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional communication skills to collaborate effectively with providers, insurance companies, and patients.
