Job Description

Busy Internal Medicine office is looking to hire an experienced Medical Biller. Familiar with EPIC and E Thomas billing software a plus. 2-5 years experience preferred Working knowledge of current CMS regulations ICD 10 coding CPT codes Claims submission, follow up on rejections Insurance verification and application to claims Requires use of both EMR and billing software. Electronic filing of claims Summary In the role of Medical Biller, you will be integral to the healthcare revenue cycle, ensuring accurate billing and collections for medical services. Reporting to the Billing Manager, you will utilize your core skills in medical office experience and EHR systems, alongside your premium expertise in CPT and ICD-10 coding, to process claims efficiently. Your knowledge of medical terminology and records will support compliance and accuracy in billing practices. Responsibilities Process and submit medical billing claims using EHR systems and ensure accuracy in coding with ICD-10 and CPT codes. Maintain and manage medical records while adhering to medical terminology standards. Conduct follow-ups on unpaid claims and engage in medical collections as necessary. Collaborate with healthcare providers to resolve billing discrepancies and provide excellent customer service to patients regarding their accounts. Stay updated on changes in medical coding regulations and practices.
