Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Dermatology Biller Coder to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately coding and billing dermatology services, ensuring compliance with medical coding guidelines, and managing the entire revenue cycle process. Your expertise will help optimize reimbursement, streamline billing workflows, and uphold the highest standards of medical record accuracy. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to exceptional patient care through precise documentation and coding practices. This is an on-site position. Not a remote work option. Duties Review and analyze medical records, including dermatology-specific documentation, to assign appropriate ICD-10 diagnosis codes, CPT (Current Procedural Terminology) codes, and HCPCS (Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System) codes for outpatient services. Ensure accurate coding for inpatient and outpatient dermatology procedures by adhering to medical coding guidelines and physiology knowledge. Manage electronic health records (EHR) systems and electronic health records (EHR) management for billing and coding purposes, maintaining precise and complete medical records. Submit clean claims to insurance payers such as the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), ensuring compliance with all billing regulations. Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through medical collection processes, resolving discrepancies efficiently to maximize revenue. Perform medical record abstraction to extract relevant data for billing, coding audits, or research purposes. Stay updated on changes in medical coding standards, including

ICD-10, CPT

coding updates, and new HCPCS codes relevant to dermatology. Skills Extensive knowledge of ICD-10 coding systems specific to dermatology diagnoses. Proficiency in medical billing processes, including claim submission, follow-up, rejections, denials, appeals process and collections. Experience with EMR systems and EHR systems for billing, documentation, and record management. Familiarity with medical terminology, anatomy knowledge related to skin conditions, physiology concepts, and medical records management. Ability to interpret medical coding guidelines accurately to ensure compliant billing practices. Skilled in using medical coding software tools for accurate data entry and claim processing.
