About the Role Greater St. Louis Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, part of the OMS360 family of practices, is looking for a detail-oriented and patient-focused Insurance Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you'll be at the intersection of clinical operations and patient experience — helping patients understand their benefits, calculating copayments, coordinating treatment plan financials, and ensuring accurate and timely insurance billing from start to finish. What You'll Do Calculate patient copayments and out-of-pocket obligations based on insurance benefits and treatment plans Walk patients through their treatment plan costs, answer billing questions, and set clear financial expectations Submit accurate electronic and paper dental/medical insurance claims and predeterminations with supporting documentation Verify patient eligibility and benefits with dental and medical insurance carriers Follow up on unpaid claims, outstanding predeterminations, and aging accounts receivable Send patient billing statements and collection notices as needed Contact patients regarding payment obligations in a professional and compassionate manner Serve as front desk backup support when needed What You Bring Minimum 1 year of medical or dental office experience required Working knowledge of dental/medical insurance billing, claim submission, and benefits verification Ability to calculate patient financial responsibility and explain it clearly in the context of a treatment plan Strong written, verbal, and electronic communication skills — professional in both content and delivery High attention to detail with the ability to process information quickly and accurately Commitment to patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance A collaborative, team-first attitude with a willingness to learn and grow Our Core Values At OMS360, everything we do is grounded in Teamwork, Integrity, Growth-Mindedness, Excellence, and Respect .
