The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing claims of clinic and hospital visits, ensuring accurate coding, and facilitating the collection of payments from patients and insurance companies. This role is crucial in maintaining the financial health of our medical practice while providing excellent service to our patients. Duties Review and verify patient information and medical records to ensure accuracy in billing including knowledge of vaccines and CLIA waived testing billing requirements. Utilize medical terminology and coding systems, including, ICD-10, for proper billing procedures. Accurately post all claims as well as reviewing and completing all denial/ appeal work. Communicate with administration to resolve any discrepancies related to billing or coding. Maintain and send all patient billing statements and have the ability to answer all patient billing questions. Account receivables collections and follow up Maintain organized records of all billing transactions and patient accounts. Stay updated on changes in medical billing regulations and coding practices. Experience Previous experience in a pediatric or family practice medical office setting is required. Familiarity with medical terminology, systems, accounting and medical records management is essential. Experience with Nevada Medicaid and commercial insurance medical billing and coding. Knowledge of vaccine billing guidelines is required. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are required for managing multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance representatives.
