Nurse Practitioner - Duties & Responsibilities Las Vegas Pain Institute Perform comprehensive patient evaluations, medical histories, physical examinations, and ongoing assessments in pain management, primary care, and urgent care settings. Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions within the scope of practice and applicable state regulations. Develop, implement, and manage individualized treatment plans for patients, including medication management and follow-up care. Evaluate and manage patients with chronic pain conditions in collaboration with supervising physicians and clinical staff. Order, interpret, and review laboratory tests, diagnostic imaging, and other diagnostic studies. Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state and federal regulations, including controlled substance guidelines when applicable. Provide urgent care services for minor illnesses, injuries, infections, and other non-life-threatening conditions. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, preventive care, and follow-up recommendations. Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant medical documentation within the electronic medical record (EMR) system. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, surgical staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care. Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as clinically appropriate. Ensure compliance with

HIPAA, OSHA, AAAHC

standards, and all applicable healthcare regulations and company policies. Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety measures, and clinical protocol development. Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and urgent clinical situations within the clinic or surgery center. Support efficient patient flow, scheduling coordination, and continuity of care across multiple service lines and locations. Maintain current licensure, certifications, DEA registration, and continuing medical education requirements.
