The ideal candidate will have experience working with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and medical lien holders to negotiate reductions on medical bills and resolve outstanding liens. This role is essential to maximizing net settlements for clients and ensuring legal and financial compliance in the settlement process. Duties Communicate with medical providers, hospitals, and lien holders to obtain account balances and negotiate reductions on outstanding medical bills. Work directly with health insurance companies (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, private insurers) and third-party lienholders to verify lien amounts and secure lien resolutions. Analyze medical bills and insurance documents to determine the validity and reasonableness of charges. Draft lien reduction requests, settlement summaries, and related correspondence. Monitor deadlines and follow up with providers to secure timely responses and confirmations. Qualifications Strong negotiation and communication skills Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time management abilities Proficiency in data entry with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail. Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously. Effective interviewing skills to extract pertinent information from clients. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on professional phone etiquette.
