Job Description

Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Insurance Verifier to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of insurance verification processes, dental and medical terminology. This role is crucial in ensuring that all patient insurance information is accurate and up-to-date, facilitating smooth operations within our oral surgery office. Duties Conduct thorough insurance verifications for patients prior to their appointments. Review and interpret insurance policies. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect patient privacy. Utilize CPT coding and ICD 10 coding for accurate billing processes. Maintain accurate documentation related to insurance verification. Communicate effectively with patients, healthcare providers, and insurance companies to resolve any discrepancies. Assist in the training of new staff on insurance verification protocols and procedures. Collaborate with the billing department to ensure timely processing of claims. Experience Previous experience in a medical office or dental office setting is preferred. Proficient in medical terminology, medical records management, and medical coding practices. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills are required. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
