This role is essential in ensuring accurate medical coding, billing, and revenue cycle management, which directly impacts the financial health of our organization. The ideal candidate will possess comprehensive knowledge of
ICD-9, ICD-10, CPT
coding, DRG classification, and medical billing software, along with a strong understanding of medical terminology and health insurance processes. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to efficient healthcare operations by translating clinical documentation into precise billing records while maintaining compliance with coding guidelines and insurance requirements. Responsibilities Thoroughly review electronic medical charts to extract necessary clinical documentation for accurate coding. Assign proper ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS Level II codes for all diagnoses, procedures, and services rendered. Collaborate and communicate with physicians and clinical staff to clarify incomplete or ambiguous documentation. Maintain full compliance with official coding guidelines, CMS directives, and strict HIPAA privacy regulations. Experience High School diploma or equivalent Minimum 2 yrs professional medical coding experience Knowledgeable of
CPT, HCPCS, ICD-10, CCI
Edits coding systems Knowledge of Evaluation & Management coding Expert command of medical terminology, human anatomy, physiology, and pathology Proficiency with Electronic Health Record systems Urology experience is a plus. Pay:
$20.00 - $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 45.0 per week
