Job Summary Join our dynamic Chiropractic Injury Clinic as a Medical Biller specializing in Personal Injury (PI) and motor vehicle collision claims. In this energetic role, you will be the vital link ensuring accurate and efficient billing processes, managing healthcare claims, and facilitating smooth communication between patients, insurance companies, and healthcare providers. Your expertise will help maximize reimbursement while maintaining compliance with industry standards. Duties Prepare, review, and submit accurate insurance claims for PI/motor vehicle collision cases using billing software and EMR/EHR (ChiroTouch) Ensure proper coding using CPT (Current Procedural Terminology), ICD-9, ICD-10, DRG (Diagnosis-Related Group), and ICD coding standards to facilitate correct reimbursements Follow up on unpaid or denied claims through effective collections strategies and healthcare claims management techniques Communicate professionally with insurance companies, patients, and attorneys to resolve billing discrepancies or inquiries Stay current with health insurance policies, medical coding updates, and regulatory compliance requirements Generate reports on billing activities, outstanding accounts receivable & aging, collection efforts to support clinic financial goals Attorney/Lien/LOP accounts Proven experience in medical billing within a healthcare setting, preferably in chiropractic injury clinics or PI/motor vehicle collision cases Strong knowledge of medical coding including
CPT, ICD-9/10
codes, DRG classifications, and ICD coding standards Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems & billing software applications, specifically ChiroTouch EHR, and Microsoft Office tools for documentation and reporting purposes, Excellent understanding of healthcare claims management processes and health insurance procedures Exceptional customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with diverse stakeholders Knowledge of medical terminology, medical records management, and medical collection practices Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join us to make a meaningful impact by ensuring our patients receive timely billing services while supporting the clinic's mission to deliver outstanding chiropractic care. Pay:
$25.00 - $29.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 40.0 per week
