Full Job Description Position Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Certified Occupation Therapy Assistant to join our team, providing essential services to our students. If you are experienced in working with children with Autism, developmental disabilities, and fine motor challenges, we would love to hear from you.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist licensed Occupational Therapists in delivering therapy sessions to students K-12 according to IEP mandates. Implement and document individualized treatment plans under OT supervision Work one-on-one and in small group settings with students to build fine motor, sensory, and life skills Collaborate effectively with Precious Hearts Academy's Interdisciplinary service team, school district personnel, and parents. Maintain accurate records and ensure timely documentation in compliance with school policies
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years Experience treating individuals ages 5-22 with Autism and developmental disabilities and non-vocal communication development. Skills in adapting activities and interventions for students with diverse needs Current and valid COTA certification in California required Previous experience providing occupational therapy services within schools preferred Strong communication abilities to collaborate with OTs, teachers, and school staff Skills in adapting activities and interventions for students with diverse needs Ability to support Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and document progress effectively Dedication to fostering independence and participation for children in the academic environment
Required Qualifications:
Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) Bachelors degree Active Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license, and 1+ years Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant experience California professional licensure.
Job Details:
Part Time position (1 day/week ) . School based in person School hours 8:30am-2:30pm Variable IEP-mandated service levels Supervision provided by a licensed Occupational Therapist Position is for Regular School year: August to May & Extended School year
June Pay:
$30.00 - $42.00 per hour
