Announcement number 3-2026 Control number 885572600 This job is open to Help The public U.S. Citizens, Nionals or those who owe allegiance to the U.S. Duties Help The Chief Deputy Clerk reports directly to the Clerk of Court and is responsible for administrive and management functions including but not limited to: overseeing all appeal processing and case management activities, ensuring records are maintained in compliance with established procedures and quality control standards; managing the day-to-day administrion of the Clerk's Office, including personnel, stistical reporting, automion, budget, and procurement; developing organizional goals and objectives and establishing plans, priorities, and deadlines for completion of work; conducting studies and performing special projects reling to the business of the court; and acting for the Clerk in his absence. The Chief Deputy Clerk position is a highly sensitive position. As a condition of employment, the selected candide must successfully complete a background check. Qualificions Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities An undergradue degree from an accredited college or university. A minimum of six years progressively responsible administrive, professional, or legal work experience in public service or business th provided a thorough knowledge of concepts, principles, policies, and theories of management and administrive processes. At least three of the six years of experience must be specialized experience in supervisory, managerial, or professional work th demonstres proven skills in managing limited resources, excellent analytical skills, mure judgement, solid organizional management and problem-solving experience, strong employee-relion and interpersonal skills, and superior oral and written communicion skills. Significant knowledge of office automion and demonstred aptitude to learn the court's case management systems. Creivity and initiive. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities One or more post-gradue degrees in law, judicial or public administrion, business, political science, or a reled field are highly preferred. Experience in the federal judiciary or executive administrion, including familiarity with budgetary, fiscal, personnel, procurement, and informion technology issues. Admission to practice law before the highest court of a ste, territory, commonwealth or possession of the United Stes. Complex case management experience and/or management experience in a federal court. Substantial professional experience as a practicing torney, a federal law clerk, and/or a ste appelle court law clerk.
