Job Description

Golden Age-Inman is seeking skilled Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Part-time to join our Team. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant , you will work with patients to help them regain independence and improve their ability to perform daily activities. Your expertise in medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and occupational health will be crucial in providing effective therapy and patient care.
Duties:
  • Conduct assessments to evaluate patients' physical, mental, and emotional capabilities
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
  • Implement therapeutic interventions to improve patients' motor skills, coordination, and cognitive abilities
  • Provide guidance and education to patients and their families on adaptive techniques and equipment
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as speech therapists and case managers, to ensure comprehensive care for patients
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and treatment outcomes
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
  • Valid state license or certification as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Proficiency in medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
  • Experience in speech therapy is a plus
  • Familiarity with ICU and critical care settings is preferred
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to provide excellent patient service
  • Knowledge of case management principles and practices
