You will provide essential support and companionship to seniors and individuals with disabilities, fostering a warm, safe, and engaging environment. Your dedication will help residents maintain their independence, dignity, and quality of life through personalized care and attentive assistance. This position offers flexible hours and the opportunity to grow your caregiving skills in a supportive community setting. Duties Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support Provide companionship and social engagement to promote mental and emotional well-being Support with meal preparation, feeding, and ensuring proper nutrition for residents Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and temperature as needed Help with medication reminders and basic medication administration under supervision Maintain a clean and safe environment by assisting with light housekeeping and sanitation tasks Support residents during transfers when necessary Engage in behavior management techniques tailored to residents with dementia or developmental disabilities Drive residents to appointments or outings if required, ensuring safe transportation Skills Strong understanding of assisted living, memory care, and senior care best practices is a plus Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or dementia is highly valued Knowledge of first aid procedures and emergency response protocols Ability to perform vital signs monitoring accurately and confidently Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with residents, families, and team members Compassionate caregiving approach focused on dignity and respect Ability to handle cleaning tasks efficiently while maintaining hygiene standards Experience in home & community care settings or personal care homes is a plus Capable of managing behavioral challenges with patience and professionalism Valid driver's license for transportation duties if required
Requirements:
