Duties and Responsibilities :
Support the mission of St. Anthony and St. Patrick Parishes Burial coordination - schedule and oversee interments, disinterment's, and grave openings/closings in coordination with funeral directors, grave digger and families Sexton can personally perform the interments, disinterment's or choose to have a contractor take care of the digging. Records Administration - Maintain accurate maps, plot ownership details, and historical burial records Assist individuals/families with plot sales, answer genealogy inquires, and explain cemetery rules and regulations
ADA Physical/Visual/Mental Demands :
Position requires ability to react to fast-paced customer and parish demands, verbally converse with other individuals; move and lifts objects of 20 pounds; must stand for most of work hours; requires use of office equipment including telephone, personal computer, and use fax and copy machine.
Typical Working Conditions:
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions, walk on uneven terrain, and lift up to 50 pounds
Nature of Supervision Received :
Works independently within the authority limits and experience level. Requires individual initiative in recognition and research of customer's needs and problems.
