Business Office Manager We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Billing Manager to oversee our revenue cycle operations within a busy pain management practice. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate billing, timely reimbursements, and compliance with healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate has extensive knowledge of medical billing, insurance claims, and pain management coding, along with strong leadership skills.
Key responsibilities:
Manage the full revenue cycle, including charge entry, claim submission, payment posting, and collections Oversee accurate coding and billing for pain management procedures Ensure timely submission of claims to Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers Monitor and reduce claim denials, rejections, and AR aging Review and resolve complex billing issues and patient account discrepancies Ensure compliance with
HIPAA, CMS
guidelines, and payer-specific requirements Stay updated on ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding changes Manage prior authorizations and insurance verification processes Prepare documentation for audits and ensure regulatory compliance Financial management: Generate and analyze reports on: Accounts receivable (AR) Collections performance Denials and underpayments Collaborate with physicians and leadership to improve revenue and workflow efficiency Identify trends and implement strategies to optimize reimbursement Education High school diploma required Associate's or Bachelor's degree in: Healthcare Administration Business Accounting or related field (preferred) Experience 5+ years of medical billing experience (pain management preferred) 2+ years in a supervisory or management role Insurance claims processing Denial management Revenue cycle operations
