Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Auto Body Estimator and Office Manager to join our fast-paced collision repair team. This dual-role position combines expert vehicle damage assessment with efficient office management to ensure smooth operations and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate will be passionate about automotive repair, possess strong communication skills, and have a knack for managing administrative tasks with precision. We also offer competitive performance based commission. Duties Conduct thorough vehicle damage assessments using computer-aided estimating software to generate accurate repair estimates. Communicate clearly with customers, insurance adjusters, and technicians to explain repairs and estimate details. Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, suspension repairs, or brake work to maximize shop revenue. Manage daily office operations including scheduling appointments, processing invoices, handling cash transactions, and maintaining detailed records. Oversee the workflow of collision repairs, ensuring timely completion while maintaining high quality standards. Supervise service technicians and support staff to foster a productive and positive work environment. Maintain comprehensive documentation of all estimates, repair orders, and client communications for transparency and accountability. Requirements Proven experience in auto estimating using industry-standard software such as CCC ONE or Mitchell Estimating. Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience as a mechanic or in automotive diagnostics. Previous dealership or collision repair shop experience preferred. Familiarity with automotive systems including transmissions, suspensions, shocks & struts, brakes, and oil changes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and insurance representatives. Ability to upsell additional services confidently while maintaining integrity and professionalism. Basic knowledge of automotive repair processes including tire service and vehicle maintenance procedures. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; driving experience is essential. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for managing multiple tasks efficiently. Cash handling experience and proficiency in computer systems related to auto service management are highly desirable.
