Office Manager The Dance Method Bunnell, FL Compensation:
$22-$26 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications Position Overview The Dance Method is seeking a highly organized, energetic, and people-oriented Office Manager to oversee the daily administrative operations of our growing dance studio. This position serves as the primary daytime point of contact for current and prospective families and works closely with the owner, administrative staff, and teaching team. The ideal candidate is warm, approachable, service-minded, and confident handling both everyday responsibilities and challenging conversations. Dance experience is not required, but genuinely enjoying working with children and families is essential. Schedule and Seasonal Hours Typical hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, averaging approximately 30 hours per week during our regular dance season from mid-August through mid-May. As a seasonal business, weekly hours fluctuate throughout the year. Our typical annual schedule includes a one-week fall break, a two-week winter break, a one-week spring break, a two-week closure following our Spring Showcase, a lighter summer schedule from mid-May through mid-August, and approximately two weeks without classes before the new season begins. Although regular classes are not held during these periods, administrative work may still be scheduled at reduced hours. Candidates should understand that approximately 30 hours per week are not guaranteed year-round. Occasional additional hours may be required during performances, registration periods, open houses, picture day, community events, and other studio activities. Responsibilities Serve as the primary daytime contact for families and prospective customers by phone, email, text, and in person Welcome visitors, answer questions, provide studio tours, schedule trials, and assist prospective families with enrollment Process registrations, transfers, withdrawals, account updates, and other administrative requests Monitor tuition accounts, assist with billing questions, and follow up on outstanding balances Address routine parent questions and concerns independently, escalating sensitive matters to the owner when appropriate Support enrollment, student retention, and family satisfaction through timely communication and follow-up Oversee daytime front-office operations and help train and support administrative staff Maintain accurate records and complete reports and administrative projects Help maintain an organized, stocked, clean, and welcoming studio environment Assist with performances, showcases, registration periods, open houses, and other studio events Collaborate with the owner and staff to anticipate needs, solve problems, and improve studio operations Complete occasional errands, light cleaning, and other operational tasks as needed This listing provides an overview of the position and is not an exhaustive list of duties. Physical Requirements Applicants must be able to move throughout the studio, occasionally lift up to 30 pounds, and assist with event setup, organization, and light cleaning.
