Business Office Manager (Financial Specialist) — Skilled Nursing Facility NHS Management operates 44 skilled nursing facilities across Alabama, Florida, and Arkansas. We are seeking an experienced Business Office Manager to lead the financial operations of our Crystal River, Florida skilled nursing facility . While the position title is Financial Specialist, this role functions as the facility's Business Office Manager and is responsible for billing, collections, accounts receivable management, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance in a long-term care environment.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Medicaid and Medicare billing — manage the full claims cycle, denial resolution, and the Medicaid application process from documentation through eligibility approval. Accounts receivable management — oversee AR across all payer sources, audit resident accounts, and drive collections to maintain financial performance. Financial analysis and reporting — monitor key financial metrics, track performance against goals, and communicate results to facility and corporate leadership. Admission financial reviews — evaluate payer eligibility and financial coverage for prospective admissions to support census and revenue goals. Business office leadership — oversee daily business office operations, census reporting, resident trust fund reconciliation, and compliance with state and federal billing regulations.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
Business Office Manager experience in a skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting is required. Candidates should have demonstrated experience with Medicare and Medicaid billing, accounts receivable management, collections, reimbursement processes, and resident trust fund oversight. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, organizational abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple priorities are essential. An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management, or a related field is preferred.
