!! Assists the Business Office Manager in the performance of business office functions under the direction of the Administrator in accordance with sound accounting practices.
RESPONSIBILITIES
of the Business Office Manager Assistant include, but are not limited to: Plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate and direct the facility's accounting functions under the supervision of the Administrator Monitors billing and collection activities Assures proper accounting procedures and controls are in place and followed Analyzes collections on a monthly basis. Assesses level of bad debt reserves, reviews and recommends write-offs Ensures procedures are followed to achieve an accurate and timely closing at month end Ensures all required records are maintained and submitted, as appropriate, in an accurate and timely manner and in compliance with federal and state regulations Recruits, hires, provides orientation/training, and retains a sufficient number of qualified staff to carry out the responsibilities of the business office Ensures employee performance meets or exceeds expectations and periodic performance appraisals are conducted on a timely basis Assist in the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) process
QUALIFICATIONS
for the position of
Business Office Manager Assistant:
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE
Experience in skilled nursing/ long term care facility. Must have working knowledge of bookkeeping or accounting principles, preferably in a healthcare setting to include Medicare, Medicaid and third-party billing Bachelor or Associate degree from accredited college with specialization in business or accounting is preferred Highlands Lake Center is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
