Medical Front Office Administrator Cerium Family Practice Position Summary Cerium Family Practice is seeking a professional, dependable, and patient-focused Medical Front Office Administrator. This position is responsible for creating a welcoming environment for patients while efficiently managing front-office operations.

7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m.

Paid day off Essential Duties and Responsibilities Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and professional manner. Check patients in and verify demographic, insurance, and contact information. Perform insurance eligibility and benefit verification before scheduled appointments. Collect copayments, deductibles, coinsurance, and outstanding patient balances. Answer incoming telephone calls, take accurate messages, and direct calls appropriately. Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments. Enter and maintain accurate patient information in eClinicalWorks (eCW). Scan and upload insurance cards, identification, forms, and other documents into patient records. Notify appropriate staff when patients arrive and help maintain an efficient patient flow. Complete end-of-day closeout procedures and reconcile payments, receipts, and balances. Identify and report payment discrepancies to management. Protect patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements. Perform additional front-office administrative duties as assigned. Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Previous medical front-office, patient-access, or healthcare administrative experience preferred. Experience with eClinicalWorks (eCW) strongly preferred. Knowledge of insurance eligibility verification, copayments, deductibles, coinsurance, and patient financial responsibility. Ability to accurately collect, balance, and reconcile daily payments. Strong customer-service and interpersonal skills. Professional telephone manner and clear verbal and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail, organization, and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced medical-office environment. Basic computer skills and the ability to learn office systems and procedures. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information appropriately. Dependable, punctual, professional, and able to work effectively as part of a team. Preferred Qualifications At least one year of experience in a medical front-office setting. Familiarity with medical terminology and insurance plans.
