Job Description

This class is responsible for the day to day management of assigned area. Incumbents supervise staff, prepare various reports, and assist in establishing goals and objectives for the department. This class is responsible for the day to day management of assigned area. Incumbents supervise staff, prepare various reports, and assist in establishing goals and objectives for the department.
Supervises staff to include:
prioritizing and assigning work; conducting performance evaluations; ensuring staff are trained; ensuring that employees follow policies and procedures; maintaining a healthy and safe working environment; and, making hiring, termination, and disciplinary decisions. Manages the activities of an assigned operational unit to include planning and coordinating programs, procedures, and standards. Oversees, maintains, and analyzes various records and statistics for forecasting and planning purposes. Manages and participates in the collection, analysis, and reporting of various data or information. Responds to requests for information and provides guidance to other departments, consumers, the general public, and/or outside agencies. Prepares, reviews, and submits a variety of reports, reconciliations, work papers, communications, schedules, and/or statements to and from internal departments, financial institutions, and/or external agencies. Manages, monitors, and participates in the processing of a variety of transactions involving purchase orders, payment vouchers, and other related materials or functions. Participates in special projects to include coordinating, developing and monitoring projects, participating in meetings, committees, and/or training sessions. Participates in the RFP process to include preparing bid documents, making recommendations regarding vendor selection, and monitoring contracts and agreements. Performs other duties of a similar nature or level. High School Diploma or GED Valid Driver's License 5 years of related office experience, to include, 1 year experience serving in a supervisory capacity. Or, a sufficient combination of education and experience to sufficiently performed the tasks assigned to this position.
