  • 80,000/year depending on experience Overview TDR Electric is seeking a proactive, detail-driven Controller / Office Manager to lead financial operations and administrative systems across three small businesses.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building structure, creating clarity, and partnering closely with an owner to drive smart, efficient growth. You will own the day-to-day financial management while helping strengthen the operational foundation of a growing company. What You'll Do Financial Management & Reporting Manage full-cycle bookkeeping for three entities (electrical, security, and real estate) Run payroll and maintain payroll compliance Prepare and file federal and state tax reports Deliver accurate monthly and quarterly financial reporting Coordinate with external CPA firm and provide all required documentation for annual tax filings Lead monthly financial review meetings with the owner Cash Flow & Strategy Monitor cash flow and support forecasting Collaborate with owner on financial strategy, credit use, and tax planning Identify opportunities to improve profitability and reduce waste Office & Administrative Leadership Oversee daily office operations and shared administrative support Maintain accountability across administrative systems and workflows Support internal communication and organizational clarity HR & Compliance Manage employee onboarding and offboarding Maintain employee records and personnel changes Update and manage employee handbook, policies, and procedures Oversee benefits administration (401k, insurance, etc.) Maintain compliance for workers' comp, general liability, and bonding Who You Are Strong in both numbers and systems thinking Comfortable working directly with a business owner Organized, self-directed, and solution-oriented Able to balance detail with big-picture awareness Clear communicator who brings structure, not noise Qualifications Required 5+ years experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and controller-level role Experience with payroll, tax filings, and financial reporting Familiarity with small business operations (construction/service industry a plus) Experience managing multiple entities required Proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop required Self-directed with the confidence to reinforce systems, ensuring accountability across the owner and employees Strong organizational skills This position requires a completed background check, credit check, and drug screening as a condition of employment.
