At Crowne Plaza Glen Ellyn our goal is to make business travel work. That's where you come in. When your part of the Crowne Plaza Hotels & Resorts brand you're more than just a job title. The Ideal candidate has hotel and Opera experience and must be available evenings and weekends!
QUALIFICATIONS
At least 3 years of progressive experience in a Hotel Previous supervisory experience required. Must be proficient in Opera PMS Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. Must work well in stressful high-pressure situations. Must maintain composure and objectivity under pressure. Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Supports the operation of all departments including Front Office, Accounting and Sales. Assists with accounting functions, including, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable, petty cash, payroll and ordering procedures, end of period, banking procedures Responsible for supporting all aspects of the operation including guest and employee satisfaction, human resources, financial performance, sales and revenue generation and delivering a return on investment Assists the General Manager in leading the team in the development and implementation of property-wide strategies Ensures implementation of the brand service strategy and brand initiatives with the objective of meeting or exceeding guest expectations Builds relationships with key customers and is involved in the sales process Ensures that all brand standards are being maintained in each area of the property Supporting the Management and Development of Departmental Teams Leads by example demonstrating self-confidence, energy and enthusiasm Sets clear performance expectations with the General Manager Assists team supervisors with constructive coaching and counseling Motivates and encourages staff to solve guest and employee related concerns Provides excellent customer service by being readily available/approachable for all guests Takes proactive approaches when dealing with guest concerns Assists employees in understanding guests ever-changing needs and expectations, and how to exceed them Performs other duties as assigned and needed
