10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Strafford Adjusting / Strafford Construction is looking for a dependable, organized, and detail-oriented Office Administrator to support our Hanover Park office. This position involves a variety of administrative responsibilities, with a primary focus on reviewing estimate figures, making estimate edits, and following up with insurance companies regarding checks and payments. We're looking for someone who takes initiative, follows through, and is willing to learn. Previous insurance or construction experience is not required. Strong computer skills, comfort working with numbers, and the ability to keep tasks organized are essential. What You'll Do Compare our estimates with insurance company estimates to check totals, identify discrepancies, and help keep records accurate. Make edits and updates to estimates using Xactimate. Call insurance companies to request check information, payment status, and follow-up details. Document conversations and track outstanding items through completion. Maintain organized files, records, and task lists. Assist with data entry, document preparation, phone calls, and other daily office responsibilities. Support management and coworkers with additional administrative tasks as needed. Prioritize assignments and complete work accurately and on time in a busy office environment. What We're Looking For Dependable attendance and punctuality. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Comfort reviewing numbers and checking basic calculations. Confidence using computers and learning new software. Clear, professional communication over the phone and by email. Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow through without repeated reminders. A resourceful attitude and willingness to ask questions, solve problems, and grow with the company. Availability to work the full schedule listed above at our Hanover Park office. Basic bookkeeping, accounting, office administration, or Xactimate experience is helpful, but not required. We welcome applicants who can demonstrate the skills above and are ready to learn our processes. Compensation Starting salary is $55,000-$65,000 per year , depending on qualifications and experience.
