Type:
full-time This is an established, privately held maritime company that has been around for decades and continues to grow. They're adding this position at a really interesting time for the business. The company has gotten busier, the accounting team is taking on more volume, and they're intentionally creating a dedicated role to own the administrative and HR side of the business. What caught my attention is that they're not looking for someone to simply keep the office running. They're open to someone who can look at how things are currently being done, spot inefficiencies, make improvements, and bring a little more structure and organization to the role. The company also offers a strong benefits package, including 100% employer-paid health insurance for the employee, dependent coverage, HSA contributions, a 401(k) match, and increasing PTO with tenure.
Office Operations:
Manage day-to-day office administration, schedules, communications, supplies, shipping, equipment, and general office readiness.
HR & Benefits:
Support recruiting, onboarding, employee records, benefits administration, insurance coordination, and termination/COBRA processes.
Accounting & Reporting:
Provide AP/accounting support, assist with expense and credit card processing, and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports.
Fleet & Operational Support:
Oversee fleet and vehicle records, company phones/devices, vessel-related reporting, shipping logistics, travel coordination, and operational documentation.
Events & Continuity:
Coordinate company events, seasonal programs, hurricane preparedness, and multi-office logistics while supporting cross-training, backup coverage, and succession planning. Strong organizational and communication skills High attention to detail and confidentiality
