Job Description

Cooper Trailers is looking for an organized, dependable Office Manager who enjoys helping customers, supporting a team and learning how a business works. You will work directly with the owner to keep daily office activities moving, maintain accurate records and take ownership of administrative work. We value willingness to learn, a positive and practical attitude, collaboration, flexibility and thoughtful customer service. Experience in office administration, bookkeeping, customer service or a dealership is helpful, but trailer industry experience is not required. We are willing to train the right person on our systems and processes. What you will do
  • Answer customer calls, help with questions and coordinate follow-up with the appropriate team member.
  • Prepare and organize sales paperwork, title documents and related customer records.
  • Enter transactions, maintain supporting records, track vendor bills and customer balances, and assist with collections and deposits under established approval procedures.
  • Prepare information for the outside accountant. The accountant handles monthly bookkeeping; this position supports that work through accurate entries and organized documentation.
  • Prepare financial and operational reports for the owner using established information and reporting processes.
  • Add new trailers to, and remove sold trailers from, the company's inventory management system and website, and maintain accurate inventory records and listings.
  • Support service scheduling and coordinate parts and service information with the team.
  • Prepare and submit state reporting and tax information according to established procedures and owner/accountant guidance.
  • Keep office files, pending items and customer commitments organized; follow through until work is complete.
  • Learn existing practices, suggest practical improvements and assume additional responsibilities as proficiency develops. What will help you succeed

  • Dependability, sound judgment and discretion with customer and company information.
  • Clear, courteous communication and a service-oriented approach.
  • Ability to organize competing requests, meet deadlines and ask questions when something is unclear.
  • Willingness to learn new systems and adapt as the business improves its processes.
  • Readiness to work collaboratively and take responsibility for completing tasks.
  • Computer skills and a willingness to develop capabilities with the company's operating systems, QuickBooks, Excel, website listings, and state reporting systems. Prior experience with these specific systems is helpful, but not required. Pay, schedule and benefits
  • $25-$30 per hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • A regular Monday-Friday schedule. Overtime or Saturday work is not anticipated; any occasional need would be discussed.

What success looks like During your first 90 days, you will build working proficiency in our systems and routines, develop an understanding of customer and office workflows, and begin independently handling responsibilities.
