Office Manager / Bookkeeper Perspective Accounting LLC Full-Time | In-Office | Pay Based on Experience Perspective Accounting LLC is a small accounting firm seeking a dependable, self-motivated Office Manager / Bookkeeper to join our team. This is a varied position that combines front-office and client service responsibilities with office management, bookkeeping, payroll, and administrative support. We are looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes initiative, stays organized, and is comfortable juggling several different types of work throughout the day. Because we are a small firm, this is not a position where every day looks the same. The right person will be able to recognize what needs to be done, adjust priorities when necessary, and follow through on responsibilities without needing constant direction.
Job Responsibilities Responsibilities include:
Greet clients and provide friendly, professional customer service Answer and manage incoming phone calls Schedule appointments and assist with client communications Receive, organize, and route client documents and information Follow up with clients for documents or information as needed Manage incoming and outgoing mail and correspondence Help maintain an organized and professional office Assist with day-to-day office management and administrative responsibilities Perform bookkeeping for assigned clients Process payroll for assigned clients Help track recurring responsibilities and deadlines Learn and use the firm's accounting, payroll, tax, workflow, and document-management software Provide administrative support to the accounting and tax team Assist with additional office and client-related projects as needed The balance of these responsibilities changes throughout the year. During tax season, the position is more heavily involved in front-office operations, client communication, document flow, and supporting the tax team. Outside of tax season, a larger portion of the position is focused on bookkeeping, payroll, and other ongoing client and firm responsibilities. What We're Looking For Our ideal candidate is someone who: Is dependable, self-motivated, and takes initiative Can recognize what needs to be done without always waiting for the next assignment Is organized and able to manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines Can shift priorities when the workday changes Has strong attention to detail and values accuracy Communicates professionally and comfortably with clients in person and over the phone Provides excellent customer service Is comfortable learning new software, systems, and skills Is teachable and receptive to feedback Is willing to ask questions and learn when they don't know something Can work independently while also contributing as part of a small team Understands the importance of confidentiality when working with sensitive client information Experience Prior administrative, office management, bookkeeping, or similar professional office experience is preferred. Previous bookkeeping, payroll, accounting, or tax experience is a plus , but we are willing to train the right person. We are more interested in finding someone with the right attitude, work ethic, attention to detail, and willingness to learn than someone who already knows every part of the position. Position Details Full-time In-office position Pay based on experience Training provided for firm-specific procedures and software Busy-season flexibility is required January through April; scheduling and expectations will be discussed during the interview process About This Role This is not simply a receptionist position . The person in this role is an important part of keeping our office and recurring client work running smoothly. A typical day may include answering phones, helping clients, organizing documents, processing payroll, completing bookkeeping, following up on missing information, and handling other office needs as they arise. Pay:
$17.00 - $22.00 per hour Expected hours: 36.0 - 44.0 per week
